Zoe's Mates Read online

“We won’t bite, unless you want us to,” promised Brent, holding out his other hand.

Unable to stop herself, Zoe put her hand in theirs. This was crazy. “This better be good.”

“Good thing to know some things never change,” laughed Liam.

“What are you talking about?” asked Zoe.

“Your shirt. Still love frogs huh?” Pointing at the picture of the frog on her shirt.

“Yeah, Derek keeps telling me that I’m too old to be wearing these. I suppose he’s right, but I can’t force myself to stop,” Zoe admitted.

“Derek is a fucking idiot,” commented Brent. “I think it’s cute.”

Great just what a female wanted to hear from one of the guys she’d been in love with since she was fourteen. Not exactly something that would make him want to jump her bones. “Are you calling me cute?”

“Yes, I’m calling you cute,” Brent admitted.

Cute is what you call a child or a puppy, thought Zoe. Not someone that you want to fuck their brains out

Following them out, they walked to the spot where two motorcycles were parked. “Put this on,” Brent ordered, handing her a helmet.

  “Hey what’s wrong?” asked Liam.

  “Nothing,” she denied.

“Don’t lie to me,” Liam told her. “Was it the cute remark?”

  “It’s stupid,” she admitted.

“No, not stupid,” Liam replied. “Not stupid. You’re fucking cute, you always have been. But you’re also the only woman I’ve ever really wanted in my bed. I want to fuck you so long and so hard that you might not walk straight for a week.”

“What Liam said,” Brent said from behind her. “Even though we were happy in Ravana, there was something, rather someone missing. You. An error that we’re going to correct. I meant what we said in the bakery. Derek can’t have you. You’ve always been ours. We all know it.”

  “Hop on,” ordered Brent.

“Guys? I’ve never ridden one before,” she told them.

“You just haven’t been ridden the way we’re going to,” answered Brent.

“You’re not playing fair, and I meant the motorcycle,” Zoe said.

“Playing fair is over,” replied Liam, reaching inside her shirt, he pulled out the chain around her neck. “I see you’re still wearing the necklace.”

“You gave it to me,” Zoe reminded him, looking at the ceramic frog at the end of the chain.

“I remember, your twelfth birthday,” smiled Liam. “And you said that you’re Derek’s. This proves that you have always been mine.” Lifting her up, he placed her on the motorcycle, placing the helmet on her head. “Now hold on.”

“Liam?” Zoe still wasn’t sure about the motorcycle thing.

“I promise, that I won’t let anything bad happen,” promised Liam. “You’re our mate, we’re sworn to protect you at all costs.”

“That’s what you always said, then I’d end up with a skinned knee or something,” she reminded him. Mate? Did he just call her their mate?

“I won’t be able to fuck you senseless if you’re hurt, or worse,” Liam kissed her lightly, “Damn, I shouldn’t have done that.”

  “Kissing me was wrong?”

“Never,” answered Liam. “I shouldn’t have started something that I can’t finish. Now hang on.”

“Liam wait,” Brent stopped him. “I need to do something.”

  “What?” Liam asked.

“This,” Brent answered, lowering his head to kiss Zoe on her lips, then Liam. “I cannot wait until the both of us are balls deep inside you. Our cocks claiming you over and over again, you scream our names as you cum.”

“You’re not playing fair,” she objected. Both cocks inside her at once? Just thinking about it had her soaking the crotch of her jeans.

“I see that you’re thinking about it,” Brent stood on her other side, his hand sliding under her shirt. “This body is ours. It always has been. The three of us know it. Isn’t it time to stop waiting? Nothing will happen that you don’t want, but there are things we need to talk about first. Take a chance Zoe.”

His touch wreaking havoc on her, her body was melting from the inside out, threatening any resolve she had to not give in. “Okay. But just to talk,” she agreed, her voice hoarse. Sexual need clawing through her for the first time.

Zoe wrapped her arms around Liam’s waist. The motorcycle roared to life, she closed her eyes for a minute, before opening.

Riding on a motorcycle was beyond anything Zoe had ever felt before. She leaned her head on Liam’s back, trusting him that he wouldn’t hurt her. With her head on his back, she could hear his heart beating. Damn, she missed him. Thinking to what they said about coming back to get her, had her wishing it was true.

She wasn’t sure how far they rode, but she soon noticed that they were no longer in the city. The smell of grass, leaves enveloped her. Liam started to slow down, stopping in front of a cabin. Almost making her think of Little Red Riding Hood. The only thing missing was the big bad wolf. Or in this case two wolves. If Red’s wolf looked at her the way Liam and Brent looked at her, she’d no doubt that Red enjoyed every minute of being eaten by the wolf.

As soon as Zoe walked inside the cabin, she felt instantly at home. The deep black leather couches, had her visualizing her cuddled between them watching television. A long leather ottoman was in front of the couch, Zoe visualizing them fucking her on it. Get your head out of the gutter, Zoe told herself.

  “Okay, I’m here. Now talk.”

  “Sit,” Brent ordered.

“You just can’t order me around,” Zoe protested.

“Yes, we can,” replied Brent, tilting her chin up, staring into her eyes. “Now sit.”

Something in his eyes, had Zoe sitting. “Bully.”

“I may be a bully, but I’m your bully,” replied Brent. “Do you know how long, I’ve imagined your head on our pillow. Sex glazed eyes staring back at us, gripping our cocks inside your cunt?”

Oh fuck, thought Zoe. If they didn’t talk fast, she’d be begging for them to do just that. “I thought you brought me here to talk,” she whispered, staring into his eyes, blinking when she thought she saw a dragon staring back at her.

“What we’re about to tell you will sound crazy,” Liam started to say. “But it’s the truth.”

“Just say it,” Zoe told him.

  “We’re not human.”

“That isn’t funny, Liam,” Zoe told him.

“He’s not joking,” Brent told her, sitting on her right side, Liam on her left. “It’s true.”

“You’re forgetting that I grew up with Liam. We shared the same playpen,” Zoe told him. “Of course, he’s human.”

  “Not anymore.”

“What do you mean? If you’re not human, than what are you?” Zoe questioned him.

“We’re Lycans,” answered Brent. “I’m one naturally, Liam became one when I mated with him.”

“This stopped being funny five seconds ago,” Zoe started to wonder if she could get Uber or Lyft to come for her. Except she didn’t know where she was.

“We’re not joking,” Liam told her. “I know you’re probably trying to figure out how to escape this loony bin. I had the same reaction when Brent told me what he was. But the truth is even more amazing than it sounds.”

“Liam, you said you were Lycans,” Zoe said, “Lycans are werewolves.”

“In this realm, yes,” confirmed Brent. “But on Ravana, Lycans are much more.”

“Where is this Ravana?” asked Zoe.

“It cannot be found on any of this realm’s maps,” answered Brent.

“Realm?” Zoe kept waiting for the punchline, but their eyes were dead serious. They actually believed this shit.

“There are seven realms,” explained Brent. “Each a different version of Earth. This realm is the third. Ravana is the Fourth.”

“The different realms were created during the time of the Great Flood,” continued
Liam. “The Gods and Goddesses of this Realm were to use today’s term pissed off. They’d created Earth as an experiment. Human-type beings were brought together from other planets, but their experiment went horribly wrong.”

“Considering the state this planet, rather this realm is like, not surprised,” commented Zoe.

“The Gods and Goddesses decided to start over,” said Brent.

“Noah’s Ark? My question is how did he get all those animals and people on one ship? The ship would have to be ginormous,” questioned Zoe.

“There wasn’t one ship, there were several,” answered Brent.

“Is that why people keep saying they found Noah’s Ark in different spots?” asked Zoe. As strange as their tale sounded, it made sense.

“They decided to leave what they considered undesirables here, in the hopes that after the floods they would learn to work together,” Liam continued. “They took the rest to other dimensions. Each a different version of Earth. Ravana was one of them.”

“Geographically? If there was a way to describe where we live, it would be closer to South America,” said Brent. “It has lush green forests, creatures that you only heard of in fairytales.”

  “Unicorns?” asked Zoe.

“Yeah, but they aren’t the brightest creatures,” replied Liam.

“I come from a race of people that were hunted and killed because of our abilities. We were close to becoming extinct, so we were taken to Ravana,” Brent told her.

  “Abilities?” questioned Zoe.

  “We’re Lycans,” Brent confessed.

“Wait, Lycans are werewolves,” she said.

“According to Earth legend yes, but in reality, we are so much more,” Brent said. “Lycans are combination shifter and vampire. At the time of puberty, we choose which animals we want to change into. One land, and one for sea or air.”

“What animals are you?” asked Zoe.

  “Wolf and dragon,” Liam replied.

Of course, the two coolest things to change into. “So, does your dragon blow fire?”

  “Yes, we do,” smiled Liam.

“Wait, you said combination vampire and shifter? Do you drink blood too?” she asked.

“Yeah,” Brent answered. “Vamps and shifters in this dimension, have a barrier that bars them from becoming both. They can be lovers, mates, but they cannot be both. On Ravana and in other dimensions there aren’t any restrictions.”

“Are you telling me that vamps and shifters exist here too?” Zoe

“Yes, I guarantee that you work with shifters and vamps without even knowing what they are,” said Brent. “People here as you are aware, are not as accepting of differences in each other. They would be hunted and persecuted, much like the witches were.”

“Makes sense,” she admitted. Wait? Was she really buying into their story? “Is that the reason why you came here? To find a mate, as you call it?”

“No,” denied Brent. “We have to spend time in this dimension, most pick during their teens. I just came here to attend high school and get the requirements out of the way. The minute I met Liam, I fell. I resisted, I really did.”

“But I am if anything else, persistent,” said Liam.

“I didn’t see you fighting very hard, Brent,” commented Zoe, remembering the times she spied on them under the bleachers.

“Guilty,” admitted Brent. “The minute I kissed him, everything meant sense. But it didn’t seem right to be with him, when I was going to be going back to Ravana.”

  “Makes sense,” admitted Zoe.

“You know what was worse?” asked Liam.

  “What?”

“Not being able to act on our feelings for you,” Brent answered. “When I met you, I was beyond upset. I didn’t come here to fall in love. But then I did, twice. When I went to my two dads, they told me that you cannot fight your destiny. You can try, but until you stop fighting it will eat at you.”

“You loved me?” Zoe asked them.

“You know that I always loved you, Zoe,” Liam said. “But you were supposed to be Derek’s girl. My parents would drum that into my head every night.”

Zoe knew that his parents never felt the same for Liam that they did for Derek. She saw in his eyes the pain that still resided of his parents’ treatment.

“After Liam’s parents kicked him out, I took him to my house,” said Brent. “We told my two dads what happened. When they arrived the next day to take him to Recalibration, we left.”

“If the two of you are together, than what do you need with me?” she asked.

“In Ravana, it is more common to be a trio than a duo,” answered Brent.

“But you have two dads, where is their third?” asked Zoe.

“My mother died not long after having me,” Brent replied. “They said she came down with some infection after. They never met anyone else to fill the void she left. They still talk about her as if she’ll come back.”

“I remember the time I ate at your house,” Zoe told him. “They talked about your mom, I thought maybe she was a surrogate, that they ended up having feelings for.”

“They cannot wait for us to bring you home,” smiled Brent. “When we told them that we were coming for you, they said it was about fucking time.”

“I always liked them,” she admitted. “If I agree to this, will I be changed too?”

“Yes, you will,” confirmed Brent. “Once changed, the three of us are going to form an unbreakable bond. Others may have your body, but you will always be ours and return to us.”

“What do you mean others?” asked Zoe.

“Ravana is a pansexual society,” explained Liam. “It is a great honor if someone wants to be with your mate. I admit the first time it happened with us, it felt weird. To know that your mate is okay with you being fucked by others? And that at times he watches? Now it feels perfectly natural.”

“This whole thing is crazy,” Zoe stood up and walked around the living room.

“I know it sounds crazy,” Liam stood in front of her. His hands rubbing up and down her arms, soothing her, but sending flames of heat inside of her. Zoe wanted his hands all over her body.

“What do you do on Ravana?” she asked.

“I’m a doctor,” he admitted. “I went to school on Ravana. After what happened with my parents, I had no chance of becoming one here.”

“He’s a damn good doctor too,” Brent told her. “The reason why I was called here? Liam is much better than I am, but he is not welcome in any hospital here. His parents influence.”

  “That’s so stupid,” Zoe said.

“I never felt at home there,” Liam admitted. “I spent more time at your house, than my own.”

“Will I have to sleep with someone if I don’t want it?” Zoe asked.

“No. But I can see in your eyes that you’re a little curious. Once you’re changed, you’re going to find your sexual appetites increase. New Lycans need to release all the pent up sexual energy inside of them. You’re the sexiest woman we know, and I know that you’re going to be the sexiest Lycan on Ravana,” Brent walked over to her. From the look in his eyes, she knew talking was over.

She loved them, she’d always loved them. She knew now that she couldn’t be with Derek. Not when she felt this way about Liam and Brent. She wanted to know what it would be like to be with them. To feel them inside her.

“Guys?” The crotch of her jeans was soaked. She needed them, now. She reminded herself that she was still technically with Derek. She needed to end things with him first.

“We can smell your heat,” Liam brought her closer. “The waiting is over.”

“What about Derek?” she melted, against him, stifling the moan when Brent pressed up against her rear. His hands sliding under her shirt, releasing the catch of her bra.

“He can’t have you.” Brent pushed the hair away from her neck, kissing the skin underneath.

“I need to tell him,” moaning when Brent pinched her nipple. “That it’s o
ver. Even though I know it is over, her doesn’t, I can’t cheat on him. What?” she asked when she saw a look pass between them.

  “Nothing,” denied Brent.

“Don’t lie,” she told them. “If we’re going to make this work, then we have to be honest with each other. He’s cheating on me, isn’t he?”

“Yes,” confirmed Liam. “He has been since high school. When I found out, I was going to tell you”

  “Why didn’t you?” she asked.

“He threatened to tell my parents about Brent,” admitted Liam. “Apparently, you weren’t the only one who watched us. I knew if he did that they’d kick me out.”

  “There’s more, isn’t there?”

“He has at least two kids as far as we know,” answered Brent. “There is more than likely more, they either haven’t come forward or silenced with hush money.”

“I KNEW IT,” she yelled, walking away from them. “I heard the rumors, but he managed to convince me that they were lying. I’m so stupid.”

“Not stupid, if you were you would have married him out of high school like he wanted,” Liam said to her. “You refusing to marry him then royally pissed him off.”

“I wasn’t going to get married without a degree,” Zoe replied. “I always knew that eventually he’d divorce me for someone younger, dumber, with kids that he didn’t want to take care of. I think that’s why I’ve never fully committed. I wasn’t even sure about going through with the engagement party. I need to go back to town.”

“I need you,” Brent pulled her closer. “We both need you.”

“I want to bury my cock inside you,” Liam said from behind her. “If you say no, we’ll accept it and take you back to town.”

Bending his head, Brent kissed her, licking the seam of her lips, Zoe couldn’t deny him anymore. She didn’t want to deny herself anymore. She wanted them. She always had, knew she would for eternity.

“Stay, Zoe,” Liam whispered in her ear. “I need to taste you.”

“I’ve never,” Zoe started to admit.

“Derek has never eaten you? Man is dumber than I thought,” Brent replied, sliding his hand inside her jeans, brushing against her slick folds.

Zoe’s resolve to resist evaporated. She needed them. She was tired of waiting. Zoe started to try to move, their heat surrounded her. She could smell them both, each with their own unique scent, each threatening to envelope her. She was getting tired of fighting what she wanted. Them, inside her. “If the two of you are shifter vamps, or whatever you want to call it, then why haven’t you shifted? Why haven’t you bitten me?”
